R.I.B. is short for "Rigid Inflatable Boat". In plain english a boat which combines a fixed hull with an inflatable collar. The result is a vessel with remarkable seaworthiness, the "4x4 Jeep" of the water. Our boats have room for 12 passengers in addition to crew.
As always when at sea safety is paramount. Our skippers have undergone the necessary traing and are fully licenced. Filip, Patrik, Marcus and Fredrik hold certificates Ship Captain Class VIII, Engineer Class VIII, High Speed Crafts as well as basic and advanced fire fighting. Several also have additional experience and training.

Some gossip
En magisk upplevelse!! , i 60 Knop flyga fram på sjön i strålande solsken. Besättningen ombord var mycket trevliga och proffesionella, kände mig trygg hela färden. Kan varmt rekommendera detta 🙏🏻

Common Questions
-
How should I dress?
Regular clothes are perfectly fine, but for your own sake we recommend something sturdy rather than your best dress. Cold weather isn't a problem, we have warm coveralls, gloves and beanies you can borrow. If there's something best avoided it's perhaps high heels, but we've managed that as well :)
-
Will I get wet?
Perhaps a little, if it rains. If the sea is rough there can also be some sea spray. Not to worry, we have waterproof coveralls you can borrow in case of a rain shower or rough weather.
-
Do you cancel in case of bad weather?
We essentially never cancel. Our boats are extremely seaworthy, we also have the right gear and experience to go out in nearly all conditions.
-
Is there an age limit?
Typically 10 years old. If you're younger than 18 you need to be accompanied by a legal guardian, or present a written note from a legal guardian. On occasion we've ferried young children as well, but bare in mind that we will always adjust the speed according to the needs of the passengers.
-
How many passengers can you carry?
Up to 12 persons / boat. We have more boats if you need them.
-
Can we go when it is dark?
Absolutely, our boats are equipped with high-quality radar.
-
Are there speed limits?
Yes, close to Stockholm there are a few speed limits. For instance past Djurgården the speed limit is 12 knots. After we pass Djurgården we can increase the speed. We always adjust our speed according to speed limits, weather and maritime traffic.
-
Will I get seasick?
That is extremely rare. In our RIB boats you sit upright, with lots of fresh air and a perfect view of the horizon. Seasickness typically occur indoors on bigger ships when what you see doesn't match what your inner ear is telling you.
-
How many crew are there onboard?
Our RIB boats are capable of high speeds. The legal requirement is that at speeds exceding 45 knots there must be two certified crew onboard, one coxswain and one navigator.
-
At your own risk?
Yes, like many fun things in life all our activities are at your own risk. You will get a safety briefing and you can always stop or slow down the boat if you don't feel safe, injuries are very rare. For your own safety we recommend that people with back injuries abstain.
-
Can I borrow a life jacket?
Of course! Actually, everyone is required to wear a life jacket and we'll help you put it on. Depening on weather we also have warm coveralls, gloves, beanies and goggles you can borrow.
